 A Midsummer Night's Dream - Original London Cast!

Cornelia Baumann

Cornelia most recently appeared in Where the Sleeping meet the Dead and The Challenging Tide at Theatro Technis. Other theatre credits include: Spare (Acting Like Mad, New Diorama Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (White Horse Theatre, Tour), Time Bomb (Talk About Productions, Edinburgh Fringe), Les Belles Soeurs (Let’s Panic Productions), 4.48 Psychosis (Son of Mann Productions), Confusions , Canterbury Tales (Tacit Theatre), Black Hands/Dead Section (Let’s Panic Productions), On the Verge (MCC Theatre), Othello (Swan Stage Company), The People (Atlantis Playmakers).  Refocusing on screen acting Cornelia also filmed two short films earlier this year. She is very excited to be part of the first Grassroots Shakespeare Company in London.

Siobhán Daly

Siobhán studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She has performed in a number of roles from Daphne Bridges in ITV's The Battle of Britain to Sister Sarah in Guys and Dolls. Siobhán was a soloist in the Olivier Award winning production of La Bohème at the Soho Theatre in 2010 as and has sung at the Dominion Theatre, the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the Palace Theatre. She has worked as a backing singer, including for ITV's The X Factor. She appeared in Jordan Barrett's short film Ash Wednesday as Marie O'Mally, which received Official Selection at six film festivals including the USA's Secret City, Twin Rivers and ARC Shorts. She performs regularly with the BBC’s Radio Theatre Group, recently creating the role of Fliss in the new work Flying Solo and Eliza in Cupidity. She acts, directs and produces theatre shows and also presents red carpet interviews with actors such as Carey Mulligan, Scarlett Johansson, Dominic Cooper, Jack Black and Hugh Jackman, for the online entertainment website, Phase9.tv. Siobhán worked with Olivier Award winning director Melly Still on her production of Mozart's Zaide, workshopped the Young Vic's recent A Glass Menagerie and enjoys script development with new writers from the Royal Court. Siobhán first worked with Grassroots Shakespeare on their production of Romeo and Juliet at the Exeter Fringe Festival in 2010 while she was also performing in Crunchtime Production's Stuck in the Throat as Rachel/ Hannah. She was very impressed with their passionate and innovative performances and is delighted to be part of the inaugural London cast.

Holly Davies

Holly graduated from the three year Acting course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in September 2010. Credits whilst training include Marley in Motortown, Eva in The Accrington Pals and Catesby in Richard III. Professional credits include Mary in Don Juan and Mozart, Magz in Priest Hole, Beth in Peeping Tom and Young Fisherwoman in Iris Theatre’s Working Process 2. Holly is passionate about Shakespeare and excited to be part of Grassroots Shakespeare’s first London Production.

Ponder Goddard

Ponder is a recent graduate from Drama Centre with an MA in Classical Acting and a BFA from New York University’s Experimental Theatre Wing. Recent credits include The Poet in A Dream Play, Gravedigger in The Women at the Tomb and Natasha in The Three Sisters. Other favorite roles include Shen Te/Shui Ta, Rosalind, Imogen, Juliet, Tranio, Claudius, Sheherezade, Valerie Solanas, Bianca in Women Beware Women and Rosaura in Life is a Dream.

Harrie Hayes

Harrie trained with the Impulse Company led by Scott Williams. Recent roles include Violet in Recipe for a Perfect Wife at the Charing Cross Theatre, Gimp in British comedy feature Betsy and Leonard, Holly in Upon This Earth at the Arcola Theatre and can be seen in recording artist Hilz' music video Got You later this year. Harrie is delighted to be part of Grassroots' first London company.

Sarah Jayne-Harris

Sarah Jayne-Harris, since graduating from drama school, has played in numerous fringe theatres and on-screen productions. Past theatre credits include Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Oxford Playhouse, Harold Pinters Old Times at the Southwark Playhouse, Rabbit at The Landor Theatre and David Mamet’s Reunion. Screen credits include feature film Pub Crawl (IMDb) in 2009 with 555 Films and in January 2010 she starred in Ryan J-W Smith's award winning film For Rachel, a tribute to Rachel Corrie. This film was winner of Best Short 8th Cinewest Flex International Film Festival. More recently she has played Miss Julie on the London Fringe in Patrick Marber’s After Miss Julie; her performance described as ‘riveting’ in the West End Journal and then Aegeus in Medea, an all female ensemble production of the Greek tragedy for the Lost Theatre. She is next set to play the female lead in a London fringe production of Fool for Love for the Sturdy Beggars Theatre.

Grace Kennedy

Gracie studied at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and recently completed a course in Screen Acting at The Actor’s Studio. Since the completion of her training, she has embarked on a teaching career across the United States fulfilling the position of Artistic Director of Drama, successfully mounting such shows as Disney’s Hercules and Snoopy: The Musical. Previous stage credits have included, Marge & Sophia in The Talented Mr Ripley (The Bromley Little Theatre), Lucille Frank in Parade (The Rhoda McGaw Theatre) and Lady of the Lake in Spamalot: The Sketch. New writing performances have included, Anna in Sinisterrr (The Cockpit Theatre; Metal Mouth Theatre Company) and Prime Minister in What’s the Big Issue? (The Big Issue Magazine). Gracie is currently playing the role of Victim on Eyes Wide Open Production’s Breaking the Silence Film Campaign (W.A.G.R) to be released later this year.

Mark Oram

Mark Oram studied drama at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and the University of Exeter.  He has performed in over twenty Shakespearean roles, including Sir Andrew Aguecheek (Twelfth Night; Idle Theme), Touchstone (As You Like It; Hale Centre Theatre), and Starveling (A Midsummer Night's Dream; Sundance).  In 2009, Mark co-founded the Grassroots Shakespeare Company as a practical exploration of renaissance rehearsal and performance practices.  In addition to producing plays and workshops for Grassroots, Mark directs and performs theatre for young audiences, and has a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from Utah Valley University.

Aaron Tavaler

Aaron is extremely pleased to be playing Bottom with Grassroots: it is a role he has wanted to perform for as long as he can remember. He has just finished shooting on World War Z, a film that stars Brad Pitt, and can be seen this fall playing Larry in the feature film Little Glory with Cameron Bright. As a writer, Aaron was selected in 2010 by the National Theatre, along with 14 other young writers, for Aftershocks, a programme to create and perform in an original play at the National Theatre Studios. He was invited back this year for an encore performance. He is a graduate of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Liam Webster

Liam is originally from Stenhousemuir in Scotland, and trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts for three years on the BA Acting course.  Whilst in training his credits include Macbeth in Macbeth, Dannyin Deoxyribonucleic Acid and Henry Fieldingin The Art of Success.  Since graduating from Mountview, Liam has performed in Spain for the last eight months with La Tourne Teatro and Onatti Productions playing Jacob Blackand Robertin Twilight of Love and Michael Banks in Miss Poppins.  Liam has also performed in multiple venues and shows and has toured abroad with the Ballochleam Highland Dancers, performing in Celtic Festivals in Taiwan, Majorca and Lorient, France.  Liam is delighted to be performing in A Midsummer Nights Dream with Grassroots Shakespeare Company on their first London production.

Jennifer Dawn Williams

Jennifer Dawn Williams is an actor whose recent credits include the medieval fairy maiden Aurora in the independent feature film Sir Lanval, Mary as she ages from 14 to 65 during the course of the radio play Departures, & a young applicant for the maid's job in the BBC's Upstairs Downstairs. Her training has specialised in Meisner Technique at the Impulse Company with Scott Williams, & the South West Academy of Dramatic Arts. She acts, produces, models, & is also an accomplished composer & multi-instrumentalist.

Eve Winters

Eve Winters trained at the GSA Conservatoire. Professional credits include: Much Ado About Nothing (The Windsor Globe), Feathers (London Run and The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter), The Tragedy of Soliman and Perseda (The Rose Theatre), Lend Me a Tenor (play), The Wedding Singer, and Mame! all for Summer Repertory Theatre in California, and Oliver Twist.

Noah Young

Noah Young studied Performing Arts Drama at Middlesex University. He theatre credits include Edgar Alan Poe in The Raven/The Fall of the House Of Usher for Laboratorium, Brutus in Alive In Wunderland for Malice In The Making, Spider in Oh What Lovely Weather at The Barbican for Theatre Of The Absurd, Sculptor in Nina Rapi's Kiss The Shadow at The Soho Theatre, Messenger in Antigone at The Riverside Studios for Theatre Lab Company, Trifko Grabez  in Monsters in The Forest at the Tricycle Theatre, Hamlet in Hamletmachine for Prototype, Wish You Were Here, and Orpheus in Orpheus and Euridece both with NMT Automatix at Transitstation, Berlin and London.
